Giants Win Superbowl

If any of you watched the Superbowl last Sunday you know that the giants beat the Patriots. On Tuesday there was a ticker tape parade welcoming the winning team back to the city. An 11 am Giants victory parade apparently involves alot of drinking, police in riot gear, and way too many people from Jersey that can't figure out the Subway(no offense Karen). It was the first ticker tape parade since 2000, which essentially involves offices dumping their recycling bin out the window.
Here are some pictures and a few videos, it was impossible to see anything or get anywhere.

Thanksgiving Day 2007

Happy Thanksgiving! Today we went to the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade. It was an unseasonalbly warm 65 degrees!! It was a perfect day for watching the parade unfortunately this meant every single New Yorker and Tourist decided to join us in watching!! I was planning on the weather being MUCH colder so I thought it would be the perfect occasion to debut my new winter coat and although I thought my coat was very cute it was totally unnecessary for the spring like day!!

After we saw Santa( my favorite part!) We headed home and enjoyed a delicious Thanksgiving dinner courtesy of Whole Foods. At first I felt like a sell out ordering Thanksgiving dinner, but all my shame was quickly wiped away with a full and happy belly we had leftovers all weekend!

yankee game

Way back in July Uncle Gary and Aunt Karen were nice enough to take us to a Yankee game. Next season is the last season for this extremely old stadium. It was alot of fun and as you can see we had great seats. It was also their 15th anniversary and Karen had a message played on the Jumbo-tron for Gary. Pictures below. Thanks guys.

West visits East

I know.. I know .. it has been a looooong time since we blogged but we were just waiting to have something exciting to blog about. Luckily , my family came for their first ever visit to the east coast which was filled with excitement, as the following pics clearly illustrate!

I am pretty sure this is the exact grate that Marilyn stood over.
Can't you tell?!?

" I'm gonna make it after all....."

sunny day in Central Park

Rockefeller Center (it is much smaller than it looks
on t.v.!!!)

I think these tourists are lost!

View from the circleline boat cruise. Horrible
commentary but best view of the city!

Dinner at Enid's our neighborhood bar

Dinner at Max Brenner's chocolate factory, that WAS chocolate
pizza on the table , clearly mom is planning to lick the remnants!

Traditional New York Pizza at John's in Time Square,
when in Rome!
Hanging out in the 'hood.

And of course no New York City vacation would be complete
without some Firetrucks! (isn't that right Special Eddy!)

The rest of the vacation was spent on a road trip to Maine,
now we have been to almost every state!

Boston Commons

Because sometimes you wanna go ....

The next stop on the trip was the fishing village of Glouchester.
It is where the fishing boat
from the Perfect Storm fatefully set sail.

Our port of call in Maine was the state capital, Portland
We explored the town and had delicious Maine lobster!
On our way back to the city we stopped at Portsmouth, New Hampshire
it was the perfect new england town and my favorite of the trip!

And of course what West vacation would be complete without
a stop to gamble. Just my luck we happened upon the worlds
largest Casino, Foxwoods. It definitely was site to be seen and to quote
my Dad, "this place is making me hot!!"

That's it ! Thanks Fam for the great visit we had a blast!! Also Uncle ChingyFango I hope these update blogs get me back on your good side! ;)
